14lb barrel

Post by schwartzstock »

Hi,

Can you give me an idea of the costs to rebarrrel #9040 with a 14lb barrel in 45-100? Do you need to make a new forearm or can you cut down the old one?

Will a LRE w/ 14# barrel make NRA long range regulation weight limit :?: :?:

Kevin,

These rifles with that barrel will come in around 14.5 lbs total wt. Its just 1.5 more pounds more then my 34 inch #1 Heavy. And thus will make NRA Long Range weight limt.

Be aware that this will not make International LR Rules wt limit which is set at 13 lbs max.

My LR Express with 34 inch #1 Heavy comes in just under 13 with sights. And is legal for all LR in the World as of this writing.
