Popular calibers in declining order?

Post by Texas Shooter »

For All:

After reading this forum for a while, I was curious what the most popular caliber being chosen for the new rifles, and what Percentage of the whole do they occupy?

45-70 is the obvious choice for 1st, but is it 75% of the whole or ?

It seems that 45-110 has received a lot of attention for a while, but is it a sizable amount of guns or just a concentrated discussion among a few people?

Thanks,

I agree on the .45-70 as being number one. Probably nothing else even close. I would imagine the .40-65 might be 2nd. Then I would guess the .45-90 as 3rd. After that I could not even guess. Parley

Thanks for your thoughts. I wonder if Kirk can shed some light on this?

I read an article in the NRA magazine not too long ago that gave the 10 most sold reloading dies by RCBS. The 45-70 was in the list, and the list was from all calibres sold!!

Good morning, 90% of our rifles are 45-70's, next in line would be 40-65, 45-90, 45-110.
