wofat,
Your post is the first I have ever heard anything like that. My rifle took a little longer thant the ten to eleven months because I ordered some time consuming upgrades. But I still recieved it in less than thirteen months. Considering all that I ordered, I think that was a marvelous turn around time.

My buddy Ken Hartlein got his in right around the ten month time period and he got the half octagon/half round barrel. So I don't think ordering a round barrel is going to make a time difference. Just my humble opinion.

You would be surprised how many people still beleive its a 4 + yr. waiting period.Mostly folks who inquired of Shiloh in the past, or dealt with the company across the street.

I just had an experience with a round barrel '74 military carbine. When I called Shiloh in the first week of Dec. 2003, Lucinda told me that they do production runs of some of the more specialized barrels once a year. They had done a run of business rifles in Oct or Nov. and would not be doing another run for a year but they were just about to do a run of the military carbines and if I got my order in, I'd get one of the carbines. I immediately place my order and received a call last week that the carbine was ready for shipment. Because I was going to be out of town, I asked to delay the shipment a week so it should come this Wednesday. 3 1/2 months from order to shipment. Just depends on timing.
