For very dry conditions and shooting PP, I use 3 wet patches and 2 dry, and chamber mop.
That’s proven the most accurate, with PP.
I have fouled to the point of 3 damp patches were needed in my 40-70 with grease groove bullets.
The patches will tell you all you need to know.
