they may work for a few times, if that. I would think the plastic will deform and not return to its orig size, therefore unless you position them exactly the same way you will not be drying the barrel. but hey its worth a shot right!! maybe they will act like a scraper for that really hard fouling on hot/dry days?? and only being $20/1000 they are cheap.
