Thanks Matt, and I understand what you’re saying.
I did some testing with my 12# 45-90 and 16# 45-110 Shilohs this calm morning. Once again I found that the 45-90 didn’t lead-foul at all with my pp money bullet in 16-1. Good news. I also ran a second trial ladder test using the same 90-95 grains of Swiss 1 1/2, in one-grain increments. The 94.0 grains of Swiss 1 1/2 gave the best results at 100 yards, as seen below. I tested the bore for leading, and found none, as at other times. Great. I’m going to try a few rounds with 93.5, and 94.5. The 94.0-grain load compressed .173” using a single .030” vegi-fiber wad. I then added a .060” poly wad, and a 1/8”-thick wool felt wad from Tiffany Sage.
I adjusted the 9# onion skin cotton paper patch ‘up’ on the bullet at two different settings for my 45-110 (111.0 grains of Swiss Fg) until I found absolutely no leading on the very tight-fitting turpentine patch I ‘drove’ through the bore after ten shots. It’s nice not having to mine for lead in the 110! All is good!

That is a fine group, so good that now you need to try the load at distance. See what its doing at 600-800 yds. I am working up loads for a new 45-90 PP also. Had some fine 200yd groups with 88 1/2 gr swiss 1 1/2 and with a DD money bullet.
