HAWK BULLETS

Post by 44magnum »

STUMBLED ACROSS A WEB SIGHT FOR "HAWK BULLETS" RECENTLY. I
WAS PRETTY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR PRODUCT. WAS THINKING OF
PURCHASING SOME TO USE IN MY 45/70 MARLIN. DOES ANYONE HAS
ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIER PRODUCT AND WOULD THEY BE WORTH A
TRY IN A SHARPS? THANKS.

Hawk bullets

Post by mike otterberg »

I shoot Hawk bullets in an old Win. 94 in 38-55 that has a rather large bore dia. They make this bullet in both .375 and .377. They also come in various jacket thickness. They make a very good quality hunting bullet and they shoot well in my rifle. They are not cheap but I don't mind paying for quality. I would assume the Hawk bullet would shoot in a sharps but I have never tried them.

...back in the days when my bolt gun got all my attention, I shot them in a .30-06. Did fine for me. I like the soft jacket, but this may increase the pressures a bit. Watch out for the max loadings.
