I've shot about a thousand rounds of tapered and non-tapered PP bullets but how does one patch a dual diameter where the short base is close to groove diameter and has a step-down? Any instruction is much appreciated.

I find that with DDPP bullets wet patching helps. Truthfully there is not that much difference. Wet patching helps me to get an easier tight fit - Mike

I'll give that a try and see how it turns out. Thank you.

I cut two different angles on the patch so they line up. takes a little experimenting. I dry patch, but I can see where wet patching would make the patch fit tighter.

Brian, did you cut longer patches or just alter the angle at one end or both? I just cast some with my BA mold and will try them as soon as I figure this out.

Mike.
I made a new template. I think it's just longer on one corner. I'll check the two tomorrow.

Mike.
Since I went from a groove dia bullet to a DD bullet, I had to shorten one corner of my patch.
If you are going from a bore dia bullet to DD bullet you'd need to lengthen a corner.
If you want the edges to line up.
