I have one of Glenn’s tools and it works really well. Today, I got a package from Eric with two of his in there and they look great! One of them has the two round shafts riding on an internal shaft (they rotate) so it should be smooth as butter calming a round into the chamber. Really good idea beautifully executed.

Here are some photos of how it fits in an 1874 Sharps breach block mortise.

well....there might be "further development" on this tool. The one I have in my hand is already super nice and the roller pins mean no possibility of rubbing steel against the back of the mortise block. I like that a lot. We'll see what Patchbox comes up with....

I’m in the process of experimenting with different shafts for the ball knob. A friend is picking up a rifle with an MVA scope and I can send him one with an s-bend or a dog leg - once the dimensions are determined and it is proven to work I can surely make one for you.

I started loading GG bullets to where you could push them in with your thumb instead of forcing them in with a tool. Didn't give up anything as far as accuracy, saved time also. Just for snits and giggles I took my tool I bought from Rhoades and modified it to use right handed with a scope on a Shiloh just to see if I could do it. It had to be notched to clear the hammer, it worked. Tried to find it today but could not, don't know what I did with it. So before anymore interest is generated with this tool there are some drawbacks which I think require some design changes. One drawback is that if the rim of your cartridge is farther than about 1/4” from the barrel breech face it makes it difficult to seat the cartridge - I need to go back to the drawing board and redesign this thing. It works well for me but that doesn’t include everybody.

I have used my Rhoades’ tool for Silhouette and Creedmoor with a scope mounted never had to cut a notch in it.

Some people are just ham fisted and blockheaded.

Mine bends to the right no problem with the hammer

Not blockheaded Kenny, just decided it was easier to load the ammo with the OAL a little shorter and not need a tool to cam it in. It was just a project for entertainment and just curious as to what it would look like. Gave me a chance to blame sometime on Kidwell also.
