My Vol III came today - if you compete with a Sharps rifle this is a must have. If you don't, you'll still enjoy the other aspect of Sharps rifles besides the buffalo guns - the target rifles. Very nicely done with some great pictures.

A bud of mine called me awhile a go and said he got his copy today. So I wandered down to the mail box and mine had showed up also got to go to town to get some good beer to go with it. The back cover photo is beautiful and includes a picture of a state of the art 1870's powder measure. All should.make the connection that they volume measured their loads back then. Bobw

1st printing was 1200 books over 600 of those were pre ordered. I don't believe the remainder will last long..

Just went and checked amazon again, still there, $99. No picture. When I ordered mine last night it said there were 24 copies available.

Fabulous and fascinating reading not only does it cover the target models but chapters on other models as well. The Schuetzen chapter is great. The Sharps 74 schuetzen models were chambered in 40-50 1 11/16" sbn. Does not mention any other chamberings in this model. Great book. Bobw

EXCELLENT BOOK! Got mine yesterday. Besides having informative text to read, there are actual photos instead of pencil drawings. Looking forward to #4. Thanks again.

All should make the connection that the Sharps Catalog says to use a scale to weigh your charges. 
Sure they offered measures, and they also say to use a apothecary scale to weigh your charges. Tell the whole story, not just part of it.
