Results are posted on Ian's Black Powder facebook page.

Interesting that Ian did not shoot the best scores at the shorter distances, but was the only shooter to post 100+ (twice) at 1200yd and take the MW by a clear margin.

OK
I guess those of us who aren't Facebook devotees will have to go without knowing anything about black powder competition.

When I get home from work this evening I can try and upload the score sheet. My 1100 yard score suffered from the fire that was on the range next to us. There was a fire that was started from tracer rounds that the military was firing. It caused a bunch of smoke to blow over onto our range. Several of us had to try and shoot through It. I was lucky to only have 1 miss through that ordeal. A few times I just shot at what I thought was my target

Congratulations, Ian!
Missed you at Friendship this weekend, but I figured I knew where you and several others were at.
Shooting at Camp Atterbury does offer some out of the ordinary complications.

That it does!! I should be back over for the last match here in a few weeks. When I get home I will post the scores and such over on the 38-50 thread.

Shot the 40-82 last fall at 1k. It did ok but, you could see where the wind would make it tough. With a rolling block, I was up the staff a long way, with the DDPP bullet and 87gr of 1.5f swiss, 14 twist. It can be done and it will get there but Id watch wind carfully...

I think that not only the 38s and 40s, but also the 44s and 45s, ALL must watch the wind Carefully

Ian,

That bullet is 1.425in long. This is the design that Arnie made for us. It is a 14 twist GM barrel.
