Re: Paper for patching?

I have done some paper patching.
My preferred paper is coffee filters,
Just find the right thickness.
Perks to coffee filters to my experiments with various papers.
1. They contain no acids, clays, or other crap, they are a food grade paper.
2. The coffee filter is actually a long fiber paper which is designed to NOT fall apart if it gets wet.
3. I have lubricated these and carried them elk hunting (no did not get to try them out on an elk) however I tested them for durability and weather sistance by submerging the bottom couple of inches into a glass of water. Forgot about them, but several hours later I was able to simply dry them off, and then fired them to see what would happen.....I hit the 150 yard test fire stump at my buddy's house multiple times....so guessing good enough for Bambi, elk, bears, coyotes gophers and buffalo...Buffalo....
4. Coffee filters are cheep and they work.....it may cost you 5 or 10 bucks to find the right papers.
