Not that many Glenn. If you have a three-some, you have an empty bay and no one to fill it. Groups of two or four do not create a problem. Lots of planning left to be done.

Woody - I'm just going by the number of banks of animals and possible max. 8 positions and 4 banks of animal is 32 times 4 relays is 128.

I would think accommodating the max number of shooters would take precedence over making sure three-somes get to shoot together. But, I'm not involved in making that decision.

I do remember shooting the Montana State Championship back in 2006 if memory serves. There were 96 registered shooters. They have 6 banks of targets. We were on the line from 8:00 AM until 7:30 PM for the Irons both days. Not as many Scopes back then. From then on they limited registrations to 72. We were in the Schuetzen House until 11:30 that night doing supper and awards.

This one is from 2007. You might recognize a few folks.

Just practicing in general really. And testing a couple different things. Going to shoot some sillywets in Ashland on Friday. Will be almost 60 degrees.

I met Steve at the Friendship Range yesterday. I tested my M1 With Lake City M2 ball. No good. At 300 yards my group was about 14 inches. When Steve showed, I spotted for him the rest of the day. By the end of the session, I was so chilled, I didn't warm until after I was home and hugging the stove. I'll let Steve comment on his results.

I enjoyed getting to Friendship and spending a few hours shooting with Woody.

But it was one of those days where sometimes you get the chicken, but all I got was feathers!
Bullets make round holes in paper with pretty decent accuracy at 400 yards, but at 500 yards way too many flyers and bullets holes were not round.

A 1.44 inch long Paul Jones Creedmoor, in a 16 twist 45-90. Some 16:1, some 12:1 alloy. It baffles me why they were stable at 400 yards, but not 500! :?:

April 14 - Miami .22 silhouette match
April 15-16 - Miami BPCR silhouette match, (April 15 is the Military match also)
I know Ian and I are bringing our trapdoors. How about you?

Aviator is driving furiously from Aridzona to make it back in time to shoot this match so I don't want to hear any excuses. Be there.

Yes Paul. Get that hair dryer out and free the wagon. At the very least it will be a dress rehearsal for June .
