there was a guy on assra.com (https://forum.assra.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl) selling some The price seemed reasonable. I don't know how much he had or if he has any left but worth a shot.

Saw that Starline was accepting “Back Orders” on 45-70 brass while at work on my lunch break. When I got home and went to order, the “Back Order” option was closed….
Those folks are getting rode hard and put away wet… I herd that they’re down to only one or two brass suppliers and are having a hard time getting material at that…

Actually they are taking back orders on 45-100 2.6 brass.

Not 45-70.

My 45 2.6 aka 45-100 backorder is around 2 years. I recently spoke to the lady at Starline and she assured me my backorder is still in the system. They will call me for my current card number when the order is ready to ship.

Dan O,
Mine is also over two years, on back order.

When I ordered my 2.6 1877 in December of 20, I also put in my order for brass.

Kenny if you hear from them please let me know and I will do the same if I hear from them. I would hate to get lost in the shuffle and I'm sure you would also.

I just got notice and ordered some 45-70 from Diamond k brass (https://www.diamondkbrass.com/) it was $79/100 pluss shipping. The shipping cost I thought was a little high but it is what it is. My total for 100 cases delivered was $100.90.
If you still need I would move quickly as brass doesn't seem to set long any place, especially the new stuff.
there is also a guy on cast boolits (https://castboolits.gunloads.com/showth ... 5-70-Brass) selling for $52 /50 shipped.

Checked Starline’s website this morning. They have changed the red dot next to the .45-70 (unavailable) to a brown dot - meaning one can backorder the brass. No telling how long it will take to receive it. I have seen them do this before. The backorder status probably won’t last long. Get your order in now.

Cheers -

Hi Guys,
Actually they are allowing back orders for 45-70 and 45-90 so I placed an order for both so we will see how long it takes.

I ordered 250 pieces, new rifle to start load development for. It will be interesting to see what the difference is in a Shiloh 1874:45-70 and a Shiloh 1877 45-70.
