T.J.PATTON RANCH SHOOT

Post by shooter 37 »

Anybody ever shoot the T.J.Patton Ranch Buffalo matches. Sounds like a "Gong" shoot out to about 900 yards. This is north of Waco, Tx.
Any info is really appreciated.
Thanks
Al

shooter 37 - If this is the match near Meridian (west of Lake Whitney), I shot there in January. Longest distance at that time was 625 yards, but they were planning to move the firing line back. The match was two part, five little buffalos (a buffette?) offhand at 200, 5 buffalo calves from sitting at 300, and 5 shots prone at one slightly larger sitting at 600 yards. The full size buffalo was at 625 yards and it was a seperate match. The targets include a "bullseye" which scores higher if you hit it. You're only looking at 20 shots if you enter both matches ($10 ea), but it was fun and they pay cash to the winners. I believe its held on the 4th Saturday. - Nick
