I just started BP.
Highly recommended from fellow shooters.
I just endorsed it on the blackpowder / patching to groove thread.

I am in my 3rd year of using it with my home made bore pigs and PP. Pleased with the way it cleans the bore. What I don't like is after a 2 day match and practice with my fingers in the juice it seems to dry out my skin. It also mars the tung oil finish if not wiped off soon.

Important here is that its main use with most is for cleaning between shots, not necessarily as in cleaning after finishing shooting.
But nothing wrong in using the new generation of carbon removers, they do as they say.

I use MPro 7 to dampen a patch following my borewipe. I dip the felts on the borewipe in MPro 7 too. Seems to keep the inside of the barrel consistent shot to shot in a way wiping never did. Quickest way to wipe the bore for silhouettes too. I've tried blowtubing, cutting oil and water, pink antifreeze, and now MPro7 on borewipes with a MPro7 damp patch behind it.

Aviator has me "semi" converted to wiping with BACO wipers and M-Pro7. Now he is trying to convince me to use water soluble oil following patches. I'm an old dog, but am willing to try new things, even if I carry a pocket watch and use a flip phone.

I’m a noob at BP, but MPro7 has been very effective with bore wipers for me. Best deal on it seems to be the gallon jug on Amazon for $66.

I normally blowtube, but when it gets real hot and I feel the need to wipe I use M- Pro 7 with good results. The stuff works great.

Bpcrshooter62 The answer to your question is because the same topic gets hammered to death and then 6 months later same question comes up and it gets hammered to death, mainly by the same people that did the hammering to begin with trying to help someone. The easiest way to find anything on this forum is to google it, for example: "M Pro 7 Shiloh Forum." If you will do that you will get basically every response ever for that particular topic.

Aviator may have a penchant for men that have flip phones and carry pocket watches (as do I)

Been using MPro-7 "CLEANER" ON BACO bore wipers for quite a while and chasing with a patch damp with 1-10 mix water soluble oil & distilled water.

You ask why? I do it because so far it has not failed to do the job.

I’ve been using it for years as a wipe in-between shots, and for overall cleaning. Not just for BPCR, but for my muzzleloaders as well.
But remember, it is an alkali cleaner, so you have to wipe dry and oil after you are done using it for final cleaning.
