.54-caliber bore size — have changes occurred?

I own four .54-caliber 1863s that were all made in Big Timber. Has bore I. D. changed over the years? What are bore and groove diameters for rifles made by Kirk and Lucinda? How many grooves?*
Are barrels taper- or choke-bored?
*Please don't tell me to take a look myself. My dominant eye had an anterior ischemic optic neuropathy — a stroke in English. The other eye has a cataract.
