My 1877 Shiloh

Post by Kenny Wasserburger »

Yesterday was a busy day on the road by 715. Made a quick trip to Big Timber MT. Ate lunch with my sister Lucinda Bryan aka Mrs. Terry.
Picked up my 1877 Sharps in 45-100. 2.6 Sharps. Words fail to describe it.
Pictures to follow. After a bit over 600 miles made it home.

Barrel is 32 inches 1-16 twist 45-2.6 aka the 45-100. Flared forearm panels, Rigby flat, no dovetails, pack hardened, checkering, upgraded finish, left the wood plan as possible for strength in the grip area. Checked still butt plate, and a mercury recoil reducer.

The Shiloh 1877’s are special my only regret is not getting the Pack Hardened finish and double set trigger on mine, you nailed it Kenny.

Great looking rifle, congrats. Any luck finding brass? I contacted Starline several weeks ago inquiry about the next run of 45-2.6. No date known for the next run but they said I would be notified when it comes out. My order date was June 2021.

Kenny

That is one beautiful rifle. Will you have it at the Whiskey? Will see you there.

Dave I will have it at the Whiskey.
Dan O I have a couple friends that have set me up on Brass. But I too have an order in at Starline for 500 pieces myself. To replace the brass from my friends plus to have plenty for myself.
