Just sayin': There is a possibility that some folks watching this thread don't know how to measure and reluctant to reveal those one hole groups at 200M. They may even resort to shooting out at 300 or 400 yards or beyond to get a better idea of how the load, rifle and shooter are performing on the target. I mean who wants to see a thread illustrating zero? Gheesh!

Oh, and SEMTAV, that patch dragging thinggy, that is not a problem when using the superior grease groove bullet.
See Aviator's post above my friend. :D
Stop avoiding success and you know I am right so why do you persist?

You mean that one where he put those paper patch bullets in such a small group with iron sights?

Truth be told DD, I'm never going to get in a fraction of the practice Aviator or many others do, so I have to do it purely for the fun. And to me paper patching is pure fun.

Steve that is a fine group shooting those rumble strip projectiles past at 300 yards.
The only person I ever seen shoot one smaller 5 shot group was Bill Bagwell. All the time we spend burning each others ears out over the phone talking loads he used just a blow tube and loaded most of his loads using a powder drop and shooting with the barrel sights and he shot this 1" C/C at 400 yards.
Bill was very secretive with his load developments. He would say keep this to your self and don't pass it on :D Man I miss him.
RIP Bill.

Don't ever let DD convince you that the PP bullets don't shoot.
He shot this 5 shot group at 400 yards and very seldom you would see him let out what he used.

I don't actually practice much. But right now I am trying out a new bullet, and working with a new lot of powder, so getting more trigger time than normal. And also trying to get the hang of the muzzle loader, which is my only foray into paper patch so far.

Need a pic of the gun at the range ( or at home if its too late)

Looks like your 55-57 grain range is way better than the 60's loads

Careful Ian, don't want you to tarnish that 'SPECIAL" designation.
