Still waiting for the ice to get out of the way to go shooting. After the -45 degree temperatures and blowing snow, things in the back county could be difficult to get to. I did email the range director, he has not been there lately.
The range I shoot at is on top of a ridge. It has about 1/2 mile uphill drive to get to the range. Then do I walk my targets out to the back boards. And back through the snow.

Or is this part of the ice age postal experience?

This week we are going chilly again. With some snow in the forecast.

I will say I am into the cabin fever feeling lately. Have several different loads waiting to to be tested. Although I have been searching the aerial photographs in North western Montana. I have a few possible places to shoot long distance located. But I bet the ice and snow could take the fun out of the day’s experience.

Also waiting for the first match at Deep Creek in Missoula Montana.

Since the ice age postal is over.

I took that as the roads to my shooting ranges were clear of ice ? It is not in North West Montana. I went two different shooting ranges today. And both had ice covered roads to them? I did not attempt either roads to the ranges?

I guess I will be ready for next years ice age postal.

Or that I missed my target, and to embarrassed to admit it?
