Vista Outdoors selling ammo business

January 2024 issue of American Rifleman, page 26, Vista Outdoors to sell Federal Ammunition, CCI, Remington Ammunition, Speer Ammunition and Hevi-Shot to CSG Czechoslovak Group.

Now, just ruminate over this and let's see where this goes? Remember the statement (paraphrase), "guns are useless without ammunition."

Hint, I was concerned when Vista was buying out all these companies and another thought, 1.9 Billion sounds kind of cheap, wondering what Vista paid for Ammunition Companies initially and what % of their current business that represents?

I have always said that they will have a hard time getting the firearms so they can and will dry up the supply of ammo and components.

Some insiders are upbeat that it will be managed differently from a publicly traded company.

I read an article published a month later (mid November) saying that Colt/CZ was throwing their hat in the ring on it. Not sure where that went if anywhere. Nothing really new out there on it. Not sure if any of it is better or worse. Vista Outdoors hasn’t been the best. Don’t like American ammunition production going into foreign hands but when all the materials are already sourced from China I’m not sure it makes much of a difference.

Hmmm, almost makes one think that we, as shooters, hunters, Americans, should own it, along with some media , a bank or two, and maybe even a credit card processing business.
