3,000 pounds is 1.5 tons. If one shooter fires 540 grain cast bullets, 1x40 animal match = 65 rounds x 2 matches a month = 130 rounds.
Maybe practice twice a month 2x30 rounds = 60 rounds, round off to say one shooter 200 rounds a month, more or less.
200 x 540 grains = 108,000 grains = 108,000/7000 = 15.43 pounds x 12 months =185 pounds per year.
3,000 pounds divided by 185 pounds per year = 16.21 years.

If you came to the Desert International, you could shoot your yearly allotment in a 10 day period......

Thanks DD but since i only shoot a 40 cal my math at your rate of shooting it up it will last me 25 years lol but at the rate i use it up at it will last me 43 years so i guess i have enough to do me my life time and more lol Guess i need to start buying primers and powder now to equal it all out thanks lol

I'd have to put another bump in the road so I could collect twice as many wheelweights if I was gonna shoot that much.

There are quite a few postings here I pay no attention to. What I do pay attention to are verifiable results.

I’m using 64.5 grains with a .060” wad and a 512 bullet in my trapdoor. The bullet is 1.35” long and the oal is 2.810”. I vibrate the charged cases. They shoot well for me.

Similar for me in my TD - 64gr, .06 wad and 500gr bullet at 2.86 but just a straight pour into the case. Drop tubed charges did not perform well for me.

My best load for the 2.1 is the P.J. Creedmoor 45001-459” 540 gr. bullet .60” LDPE wad, 69 grs. Swiss 1.5 one G.G. showing. Powder is dropped through a 24” Shiloh drop tube. This has shot very well in two Shiloh rifles chambered for the 2.1 and all bullets and loads are compared to this load. The first reduced band bullet I tried was a Steve Brooks “ Pointy” bullet @510 grs I bought off of EBay it shoots as well but requires 79 grs of Swiss 1.5.. I learned that both of my 2.1 chambered rifles like a 460” bullet real well.

Thank you again for all of the replies, I still haven't been able out to my shooting spot due to prior engagements, after the middle of next month I hope to be able to dedicate more time to working with the Swiss.
