I have been notified that the Ben Avery dates for the 2025 Desert International Long Range Black Powder Target Rifle Event will be presented as follows:

January 29, 2025 .22 long rifle TARGET event
January 30, 2025 500 Yard Mid-Range TARGET event
January 31, 2025 600 Yard Mid-Range TARGET event
February 1, 2025 800 Yard Long-Range TARGET event
February 2, 2025 900 Yard Long-Range TARGET event
February 3-5, 2025 Three consecutive days, 1,000 Yard Long-Range TARGET World Championship

Max shooter capacity 40
Muzzle Loaders and Cartridge Rifles only.
Black Powder and/or Pyrodex only
Cast lead alloy or swaged projectiles only, no gas checks
Pre-event registration mandatory.

Only way I'm gonna make it is if I start planning now.

Counting brass tonight, gonna take at least 2 guns to have enough ammo.

Shoot, bring all the rifles you want. Plan 350 black powder target total rounds down range, minimum.

The idea of the Desert International is to provide a high quality experience where one can become one with their rifle and load while at the same time learning to shoot in conditions along with some of the best long range target riflemen in the world.

The DI is more than a mere Match. It is a comprehensive EVENT encompassing Target Rifle beginning with the .22 rimfire from 200 yards and reduced targets for simulating 300 & 600 yards. Midrange at 500 & 600 yards, long-range from 800, 900 & 1,000 yards.

There is also two days of 40 for score big bore silhouette for those seeking additional or alternate recoil therapy.

The Desert International was specifically designed, produced and coordinated by shooters for shooters so that they have an event that is meaningful and fun to participate in at the finest range on the planet.
