Well I went through some stuff found my old RCBS thermometer. Pot is set between 680-700.

The line is there but not as bad. New Lyman mold. Maybe mold is to hot ??

Clean the mould with carb cleaner and acid brush.

New Lyman mould?? -- close the mould without the handles and hold the mould up to a bright light. Look down through the base end and check for any visible light.
If there is any light, the pins could be too far out and need to be "gently tapped" in to fully close the mould. Also check the fit of the handles. If the handles are too tight, that can/could prevent the mould from closing/lining up completely or correctly. Or, it just cold be that the mould blocks were not machined correctly.

Ok I’ll check all that. I used carb cleaner on it before casting. Not acid brush. Thanks
