NAPA water soluble oil substitute

I can no longer find any NAPA water soluble cutting oil in my neck of the woods. Does anyone have good experiences with another brand of water soluble cutting oil? I'm no machinist, but my local tool store seems to carry about 20 different types. No idea what the differences are.

My other option is to go back to Ballistol & water. I have plenty of that.

A possibility may be vehicle water pump lubricant you add to anti-freeze. You can get at auto-parts store.

I'm up in British Columbia, Canada. Recently when I was in Washington state I stopped in at a NAPA and they told me the big jugs are discontinued, and the small bottles would have to be ordered in as they aren't stocked anymore..

When I first got into competition shooting I used Balistol for several years. I later switched to the NAPA oil which seemed to work slightly better with respect to my scores. Over the years I've done a fair bit of experimenting with other stuff like RV antifreeze and such, but NAPA oil always seems to work best for me.

If I have to I will give Ballistol another try, but first want to see if I can find something like the NAPA oil. I'm sure it's just a relabeled mainstream brand as I doubt that NAPA makes it themselves.

I've been using NAPA soluble oil (10:1 oil:water) for several years & recently tried M-Pro 7 (straight) since it was recommended by several shooters. I found the M-Pro 7 worked fine but no better than NAPA. I did find that M-Pro 7 eats copper & I'm not found of the smell. It turned the copper brush in my Patch Popper patch dispensor dark green which is not a problem with the NAPA solution. The one negative about the NAPA solution if you mix up a batch for future use is it tends to grow mould and gets a mould film when stored for months after mixing with water.
