BPTR at Ben Avery

Post by mike herth »

Desert Deuce,
Does anyone have the number of shooters each year to present since Steve Rhoads began the 1,000 yard matches?

I don't know. It "should be" here on Shiloh Forum, somewhere.

Looks like a high of 31 in 2017 including muzzleloaders and vintage snipers, to a low of 16 in 2021

I'm not sure if it was '13 or '14 (getting old) when I called the match but as I remember there were 45 +/- shooters.

That was the 1000 yard match. We were there as Camp Hosts that year.

Was just wondering , as I recall Rhodes sillhouette matches in November drew a pretty good crowd . Found the results from 2011 and it looks like 35 shooters, for the 3 day match, 2 days NRA Creedmoor and 1 day of the American Creedmoor Cup

It grew from there Don and by '14, '15 it was up to the limit of 72.

I'm speaking of the Silhouette only there.

You are correct there Don. I just checked my famous Cactus trophy and it is for 2012 Silhouette 3rd 'AAA'. I had to shoot off for 2nd place with some guy named Kirk Bryan, he won.

I have the BPTR score sheet for 2018 and there were 35 shooters.

Don,

There were two ML and eight VS (vintage sniper) in that total.
