Midrange military match at Camp Atterbury Indiana May 10th & 11th, 2025

On May 10&11 2025 at Camp Atterbury Indiana we will have our first Midrange Military Match. Targets will be shot at 200,300, and 600 yards. We will shoot at paper targets and take turns the in pits to pull targets and mark hits. We will have at least 2 different classes. Cartridge class and musket class. We might add a “sharp shooter “ class if we get enough interest in that. Rifles must use sights as they were issued. No tang sights. Right now I am thinking. 3 10 shot relays. 2 on Saturday, one relay at 200 and one relay at 300. Then our 500 or 600 yard relay on Sunday. Cartridge shooters will have 30 min each relay to fire as many sighter shots as they wish and 10 scoring shots. Musket will have 45 min or an hour. Not 100 % sure on targeting yet but I am thinking that we will make the musket targets bigger than the cartridge targets. We can also do it all prone supported or do position shooting. In other words. Standing at 200. Kneeling or sitting at 300, and prone unsupported at 5 or 600. We have about a year to plan for this and I am open to suggestions. Will be challenging but we will have a good time doing it.
