ID The Rancho Deluxe Sharps

Finally located and bought a copy of Rancho Deluxe on DVD last week. I had always remembered the scene where the Lincoln Continental is shot full of holes using a Sharps, but there were some details I didn't notice before, like the Freund reference when the rustlers are trading for the rifle.

The rifle looks to be an original Hartford 1874 Military rifle in .50-70 but I was curious if anyone knew more of the details on it. For anyone who hasn't seen the movie, the DVD can be had mail order for about $6 and it's worth twice that just for the Sharps-related scenes.
