Are all Shiloh Sharps barrels stamped with the case/brass size. Looking at a used one with just 45/70 stamped on the barrel.

Generally yes. My .45-70's are stamped "Calibre 45" and on a separate line "2-1/10".

But I don't know how the older ones are stamped. My Shiloh's are all Bryan era rifles.

Chris.

This is a Shiloh Sharps. Supposedly made in Big Timber Montana.

I came here in 1990 and as far as I know, Shiloh has never had a 45-70 stamp. I would need to see a picture of the gun to tell you the story.
We have always used calibre plus case length

Did C Sharps ever use that stamp?

I have a couple C. Sharps, at least in my examples they don't utilize anything but caliber and case length.

My 2009 C Sharps Model 74 barrel stamp says....40 cal 2 1/2

aka 40-70 Sharps Straight

I own two Sharps purchased from Shiloh, they are marked:
Farmer Business rifle purchased in 1983 marked as Calibre .45 2-4/10
Sporting rifle purchased in 2011 marked as .44-90 (no case length)

I think my rifle was made in the late 80s and it’s marked 44 2 1/4. I bought it used a couple of years ago so I don’t know when it was made exactly.
