Sights for hunting

Buck Skinner ! I have run into a lot of old rifles with their rear sights turned around ,which i thought was a mistake at the time ! Then an old antque dealer told me that they were put that way by older shooters years back who could see better now as the sight was moved an inch or so forward for better vision ! JAGG
