loads for 45-110
I AM ANTICIPATING THE ARRIVAL OF MY LONG RANGE EXPRESS. I HAVE LOADED SOME SHELLS WITH A 105 GRAINS EQUIVELANT OF TRIPLE SEVEN THROUGH A 24 INCH DROP TUBE AND SEATED A 525 GRAIN POSTELL BULLET LYMEN. IS THIS TOO MUCH? P.S. I LIKE THE RECOIL!!!!!

105 grains of Triple 7
straightcasejordan--You will get a MUCH better result from your 45-110 if you pull those bullets and dump the 777. Reload with 106 grains of Goex 1f, and you will be a lot better off. Shoot straight, rdnck.

I'll not only second the dumping of 777, but also suggest that if you are loading heavy charges that require compression (which is likely), be careful that you don't swell the bullet when you seat it. Generally loads like that will require a compression die of one sort or another. Compressing with the bullet is a big no no.
Personally, I'd wait until you have the rifle and know how far out you want to seat the bullet and go from there.
