I ordered a new Shiloh Sharps not long ago. I'll be a year older when I pick it up. But have not got to the final stage yet, so I've got time to make changes. Can anybody give me some PROS and CONS of a cheek rest? The rifle will be used for target and silhouette shooting. The rifle I ordered, think of a 74 Creedmoor Target rifle as the one in the 2004 calalog. Give it a 30" barrel and a double set trigger, the rest is the same.
Thanks Don

I have a M74 w/ the cheek piece & accent line.
I found that the cheek piece provides some support for my cheek when sighting the rifle, esp. @ longer ranges when the sight staff is elevated.
Besides providing my face some support, IMHO the cheek piece and the accent line adds to the visual appeal of the rifle.
