bullet mold rehab...

I am casting with an old Ideal mold - great condition, but one side of the mold must have something on it because the bullets are coming out wrinkled (the other side fills out perfectly). Tried some metal polish, but that hasn't helped - I suspect that there is still some baked on oil residue on that half. Any suggestions on how to clean this kind of contaminant out of mold without damaging it? Thanks.

OK, nevermind - spent some time with Q-tips and Flitz metal polish and now life is good again...perfect bullets.
