Re: Hunting with a legend!
Dan FYI anyone that purchases a Wyoming hunting license will receive a "Harvest" survey card in the mail for every species they had a license for...

Re: Hunting with a legend!
Dan , Don only told you the half of it. A lot of places in Wyoming have so many deer and antelope that killing one is like picking fruit off the tree, "harvesting". But actually Wyoming residents go out and kill their game so the rest of the NR's know what they are talking about, they say harvest because its the rest of the country that is PC that don't understand "kill".Rest assured that had Stephen used the "killed" verb, some PC a-hole would have put up a lecture about being sensitive to the PC turds.SD also sends out a harvest surveys for hunters to fill in. Lotsa gov't employees are PC cause it means their jobs if they aren't. You really don't need an oilfield dressing down ,regardless of what your thinking.Have a good day. bobw

Re: Hunting with a legend!
I harvest what I want to consume (game animals, vegetables, etc) and kill what I want to get rid of (weeds, varmints, etc). Simple as that.

Now if you want a historicaly correct term when they killed something they would say, "made im come" and another one, "made meat"

Good one Orville,
When I was a youngun, I would here phrases such as "grow'd off a hog" meaning raised one up feeding and fattening for the kill. I don't run into folks that talk that "countryfied" very often these days.

"What'd he bring?" Meaning how much did he weigh to the nin-com-poops.
nin·com·poop (nnkm-pp, nng-) n.
A silly, foolish, or stupid person.
Anybody remember that one?

I had gotten possession of a big "50" gun early in the fight, and was making considerable noise with it.

I must say that I'm jealous - I'm still recovering from neck surgery and I'm not sure if I'll be able to work up some loads and hunt this year. I'm glad you had a good hunt, your last photo was especially intriguing Enlighten me further about your knife.
58,
The knife was built by Bill Bagwell! I wanted a true master to build me the ultimate hunting knife and he did! It has a Damascus blade with a bone handle!

Could you post a few pictures of the knife
