Gun Socks

Hello:

Has anyone used a silicone sock for their 1874? In the past I have used them with decent success in my safe without worrying about dinging the guns when taking them out.

Any advice?

I also got some stock slick. Is it ok to use all over the gun after handeling it?
Recently I just received my 1st Shiloh and needless to say, I've shown it several times to a couple of freinds and family.

Just wanting to prevent anything stupid from happening.
